Cassette credited to Lil Jyule, a boy from Memphis about whom it's difficult to find information. You can find the five pieces that make up the cassette in different sequences on the internet.
The first song is "Project Pimp", a simple boom bap with an incessant slow drum and spoken word bars, there's no real sample, but somehow the mood is dark. "If You Scared" is the next cut, features a slow and tight drum, usual Memphis lo-fi rhythm, slow and smooth delivery, almost spoken on a dark and cold sample, but not too dark, kept quiet by a hard and careful drum. The third song is "Strapped wit the Glock", but I found it under the name "Don't Try to Test My Nuts", which is also the looped line at the beginning of the choice: minimal boom bap production, slow hard drum, dark and dark samples, a nice dystopian piano stands out, slow delivery.
The fourth track, "RIC for Life," maintains Memphis vibes and a dark skinny rhythm, with single looping line in the background preceding a smooth, almost spoken, unstoppable slow delivery. "Do I Hate Ya" boasts slow spoken delivery on dark rhythm with decent samples and slow hard drum machine. In the middle of the track there's an excellent change of beat, a dark and slow piano takes over worthy of the best thriller / horror / paranormal films, perfect drum, the interpreter manages to maintain this scary mood.
Consisting of 5 choices totaling around 22 minutes, this hidden tape in the Memphis scene is easily an enjoyable listen for fans of this subgenre, boasting dark plots and horrorcore bars, nevertheless, the interpreter's apparent lack of personality doesn't make him stand out among the hundreds of cassettes released from Memphis at the time.
Rating: 6.5/10.
