Street Military — Next Episode EP

Fourth and last extended play by Street Military, hip-hop group from Houston, Texas, affiliated with the South Park Coalition.

The boys of the group, Icey Hott, Lil' Flea, Nutt, Pharoah and KB da Kidnappa spit gangsta bars about crime and drugs over a minimal, southern and obscure production provided by Icey Hott, aided by Corey Stoot who plays guitar and keyboards. Klondike Kat, SPC affiliate, is the great guest of the edition and is present in the first three tracks of the tape.

The music chosen by Hott is simple, however, it does the job and is quite accessible and enjoyable ("G-Song" is the big exception, with a rhythm based on baby crying loops), ideal scenery for rough flow and raw of these guys enjoying pulling down bars for 35 minutes: the EP is very long, almost as long as an album, with tracks in excess of five and six minutes, with the peak of the opening choice beyond seven. Recommended to SPC and southern/gangsta fans. 7/10.
