Second collaborative EP between Ray West, a producer long-time associate of the DITC veteran AG (executive producer of the project), and OC, one of the column in the rap side of one of the most-respected crew in hip-hop. Also this tape is released under Red Apples 45 and distributed by Fat Beats.
The tape is opened by applause, a crowd shouts in the distance. Then, male soulful sample looped in the background, light, circular jazzy rhythm, almost imperceptible drum machine, it seems nonexistent, but there's in the distance, good punctual delivery of O.C., hook left to its single line and the sample looped in the distance, production essential, ample space for O.C. delivery, good cut.
An essential, tight, circular, skeletal rhythm follows, hook left to the beat, decent delivery, drum machine excluded from the beat and inserted syncopated and minimal near the chorus. Generic lean cut. The instrumental version of "After Hours" follows, banal and boring in its lame essence. "Learn Lessons" follows, intro, lively and cheerful rhythm, decent delivery of the DITC rapper, vivid and minimal drum machine, skeletal in background, female soul sample looped in background, eccentric and frenetic, decent tune.
There's a light piano in the distance, distant in the background, which returns to show itself a little on the eccentric and festive, confused hook. The next one is a short jazzy choice, simple, essential, it closes "My Heart's in the Streets", female soulful sample looped in the background, heavenly-ethereal vibes, drum machine that keeps the vibes on the ground with a raw, skeletal, minimal sound, delivery of Credle pretty rough, solid, smooth, functional chorus. 6/10.
