Percy "Master P" Miller was born and raised in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana. He moves in Oakland, California, then opens a record store in Richmond, California, called No Limit Records and Tapes, which later became the foundation of his own label No Limit Records.
Master P's first No Limit Records album which marks his debut here from Richmond, California. The rapper takes the TRU (his brothers, with a flow confused and dirty, aggressive meaningless) for a walk halfway through the album, without being able to convince the listener: his rapping style is clumsy, slow and syncopated, based on a mix of low league gangsta and braggadocio, perhaps inspired by the West Coast acts of the time, on a boring, slow, tight and cheap production that sounds rough, with some decent samples, made by Master P himself. First of an endless series of cheap No-Limit junk products, this is a bad, raw, hardcore debut.
Rating: 4/10.
