Wais P — T.A.P.A.S. EP

Shortly after his debut album, Wais P proposes an EP of fifteen minutes and five joints.

J Status delivers a jazzy lo-fi rhythm for the first track, with pounding, tight and slow drum to accommodate the rapper's delivery. Haile Supreme is also called here to reinforce Wais' simple hook with a second hook and post-hook, on a jazzy boom bap with flute and slow drum samples, production made by Nef. The MC and Jon Connor are fine in the third cut, but the jazzy rhythm chosen by ATG is cheap and mediocre, completely wrong, it ruins the track. Vanderslice brings out a confused, tense and chaotic rhythm for "Bath Salts", closes "Give El Hell", a production by Drum Gang and DJ Rerok in a jazzy piece with male soul samples, blessed with an opening of G Rap: his flow is worth listening to this song, closed by Wais. Non-essential tape, just below sufficiency; technically, it's saved by Kool G Rap, but I place it among the records not recommended, anyway. 5.5/10.
