Eazy-E — 5150 Home 4 tha Sick EP

Niggaz With Attitude
, the most dangerous group in the world, broke up when one of its most famous members publishes its second effort, an EP of about twenty minutes and four real tracks that follow a short intro, full of random lines and laughter without beat. A final evil laugh opens the first cut of this extended play.

"Only If You Want It" has an introductory functional hook, no beat, then a funky West Coast boom bap, slow heavy syncopated drum machine and hardcore energetic syncopated delivery for the single of Eazy-E who drags this EP and presents a simple hook with g-funk synth bridge. The third track is opened by a vicious initial gangsta male skit, then skinny lo-fi rhythm, tight and skeletal syncopated drum machine, functional hook with deep g-funk synth and decent hardcore syncopated delivery. "Niggaz My Height Don't Fight" presents a simple and skeletal production, a track that goes completely unnoticed, a slightly generic, funky West Coast production, the rapper delivers syncopated and cheerful, with a somewhat bland style. The EP is closed by a positive Christmas rhythm: everything is fine, then Eazy-E arrives and starts shooting at random, the beat remains Christmas, with a syncopated and skinny drum machine tight in the background, there are a couple of girls who they recite some bars in opposition to those of the ex-NWA MC, which advances during the cut with an unmissable and priceless gangsta-pornocore style, with a sick hook. Moreover, this track marks the debut of will.i.am (Will 1 X) and apl.de.ap, both from the A.T.B.A.N. Klann, in the rap game. This record doesn't lift the whole project, the real weak point of his discography (including NWA records), but it'll cheer on a few laughs.

About four years have passed since his debut album, and the NWA were still in business, Eazy-E returns, supported by a not too good, hard production, with some g-funk and generic vibes, made by Cold 187um. The Priority distribution guarantees him a good commercial success and the gold disc certified at the beginning of 1993, nevertheless the MC doesn't offer particular tests of strength, he keeps nonsense lyrics delivering with his usual bold and shouted style: to the average listener these harsh g-thug tracks won't tell him anything — not even the final Christmas classic, hailed by many fans as a masterpiece — but die-hard Eazy-E fans will definitely have fun.
