Second studio album by Walter "Tre-8" McCallon, rapper of about twenty years. Production is mainly done by the MC himself, along with Master P, Ice Mike, Mo B Dick, KLC and Carlos. Guests are Master P, Mia X, Silkk the Shocker, Mr. Serv-On, 9-Glock, Blakk Ceaser, JU-C, Lil Nic, Percy P, Tim Smooth and Prime Xample.
The beats are quite generic to have been made during the golden age of hip-hop, and his pen doesn't allow him to stand out from the rest of the New Orleans scene, nonetheless, he delivers these thug verses as they should be delivered, hardcore, with a good flow, which sounds even better than usual when he accelerates. The album is released by No Limit and distributed by Priority, perhaps it exceeds in length and rewards more quantity than quality, with twenty tracks and sixty-five minutes, albeit boasting several pearls that southern fans will surely appreciate. Among the many solid choices, "Fright Night" stands out widely above all, where everything works brilliantly: the Mo B Dick production features dark samples and a minimal downtempo drum, there are great and disturbing Memphis vibes, blessed with urgent and spectacular rap from Master P and Tre-8, here at his finest. 6.5/10.
