Debut studio album by Warren Sabir "Steady B" McGlone, rapper from Philadelphia. After releasing a couple of singles between 1985 and 1986 with Pop Art Records, the label of his uncle Lawrence Goodman, father of two thirds of Da Youngsta's, he signed with Jive. In 1986 he released two singles under the pseudonym MC Boob, one for the independent label Three Way Records and one with Pop Art.
In the same year the LP was released, nine tracks, the production and mixing were entirely entrusted to Goodman. Marley Marl produced "Get Physical", a song chosen as a single. The scratches were entrusted to Grand Dragon KD & DJ Tat Money, later DJ for Kwamé. The drums are tough, the bass is solid, the rhythms created by Goodman support the boastful rap of Steady B in what is often considered his best work, despite the below-average lyrics that play with boastfulness, extravagance and adolescent hilarity, the sound comes out cleaner than you expect, the audio engineer is Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo.
Released by Pop Art and Jive, the album remains in any case one of the most compact hip-hop releases of the season, gets a good response from the public, reaches the top 30 among rnb albums and allows the boy to start what will be destined to be a short career in the industry and to become one of the first rappers to emerge in the Philadelphia hip-hop scene together with The Fresh Prince, Three Times Dope and Schoolly D. 6.5/10.
