In mid-spring 2011, DITC rapper OC publishes a new EP that follows his inaugural chapter of "O-Zone" series. It's distributed in format vinyl in limited edition to less then 100 copies, featuring tracks recorded in the period of early nineties (1991-1995) and previously unreleased. The guests are Page the Hand Grenade and Prince Po of Organized Konfusion, the latter is uncredited. The production is provided by Kemp, DJ Ogee, Organized Konfusion and Buckwild.
The first three tracks are produced by Kemp and somehow they're not good: disturbing, alternative, heavy, gloomy rhythms, the first song offers a beautiful, alternative pop bridge on the hook; in the second, OC flows fairly regular on the beat softened by a jazzy bridge, musically there's a nice hook, while it's too banal and simple the delivery of OC, which flows velvety here. Kemp pulls out a great ground in Stay Alive, where, however, Credle delivers poorly and wastes.
To the aid of this EP come three tracks (out of seven) by his classic debut "Word...Life": "No Main Topic" ft. Prince Po, "Story", and the Organized Konfusion remix of "Born 2 Live" who bring the rhythm back to an higher quality level than was heard before. It's a discreet EP, four songs and none is really good, not even the skeletal bleak cut dropped by Buck. "Born 2 Live [Alternative] Remix" stands out easily. If you're not a fan of Omar Credle, this listening is peacefully avoidable. 6/10.
