He starts solid on this new violent effort (the title is the acronym for "Every Body Killa") with some successful tracks between homages to Nas, various samples, jazzy vibes and a general middle finger.
The mood remains hardcore, but while his delivery begins to fade and guests don't add much to the album, the rhythms begin to become generic and the usual functional hooks arrive. The production's mainly provided by Nickel Plated, with "Get Down or Lay Down" left to Thorotracks and a couple of tracks to Stu Bangas. Most of the songs have no elements of importance, they're more or less all hardcore, with a decent delivery of Poet and dark, essential, tight, simple jazzy rhythms, frenetic ("Get Down or Lay Down", "Front Street"), slow ("QB Murderer"), cheap ("Front Street") or synthesized ("Movie Villains Remix"). The meeting of Screwball requested by Poet in "Welcome Back Screwball" deserves a honorable mention: KL shows a good opening verse in a song that boasts a rare soul sample looped in the background.
Rating: 6/10.
