Fourth album in three years for Chunk, rapper from East Palo Alto, California. Production is handled almost entirely by Sean T, while G-Man Stan provides a rhythm. The guests are Caus, Sean T, Mobboss, Papoose (not that Papoose), D Villain, Double-O, Gangsta G, and Scrib.
Sean T creates a funky and mobb soundscape that is valid and ideal for Chunk's generic gangsta rhymes, who with this record finds one of his finest works. The rhythms vary between light, mobb, glossy, sometimes obsessive and cheap samples, penetrating and annoying synths, as well as ballad vibes: nonetheless, Chunk skillfully handles it all with slow, confident delivery and great regular flow making the whole project of 12 tunes (none under 4 minutes) and 56 minutes, released by the local label Murder One Records / One Gangster Music, a good listen for Bay Area fans (although not one of my favorites, personally).
Rating: 7/10.
