Almost the same name of one of his other mixtapes, "B.E.N.N.Y. (Best Ever 'N New York)", a sort of compilation that collects several tracks from the "American D Boy" series, this effort unites some of the rapper's longtime collaborators, including Johnal, Hottest, Rick Hyde, Westside Gunn, Jimmy Conway and DJ Shay.
From the first song, the tape has a different musicality rather than practically all the other projects released over the years by the rapper. His rap is more concentrated, fluid, confident and clean, the production is very good and the rhythms play on his side, both when they are boom bap and when they are trap. The first few minutes run smoothly, then natural inflections arrive. After "American Hustle", another noteworthy song, boasting a soulful production and a boom bap rhythm with midtempo dry drum machine to support the delivery of the emcee, it comes "The Stookie Bros Part 1", featuring Jimmy Conway and Westside Gunn. Raw heavy bass, downtempo drum, minimal rhythm, Hall & Nash back n forth delivery, then Benny closes the track. The same beautiful rhythm is used later by Westisde Gunn for a song with Sean P, "Blvk Tar".
The central part of the tape is quite solid, with tracks like "Never Die", "Darts" (beautiful beat, accurate rap) and "Fuck With Me" (one of the best productions in all of his Buff City mixtapes), later the project relies heavily on trap tracks on which The Butcher has never sounded as one of the best of the period, unlike midtempo [boom bap] rhythms, and that drag the tape down a bit before the finale, "Pray for Me", which has an honest boom bap beat.
