First album of 2020 for Ray West, which puts down a record of just half an hour. This digital release is opened by "The Horizon", skit, elegant piano, skeletal and syncopated drum machine, light in background, extravagant sounds in the midst of this production.
A light production follows in "Galactic Ruins", an elegant light piano, relaxing vibes, a quiet beat, a loop of bongos in background. The third cut is "Emeralds" and has a light rhythm, a light and regular drum machine, a circular, tight beat. "Tribal Moon" boasts a heavy, skeletal and syncopated drum machine, only of light sax looped tight in background, tight beat, circular, simple.
The instrumental fifth choice presents a rhythm full of elements, light, with a lively piano, a tense, dark beat. "Empires Past" has a light, gloomy soundscape, minimal drum machine in background, dark rhythm. The seventh tune is a cooler rhythm, heavy and minimal drum machine in background, flute loop in background, dark beat.
