First album of 2020 for Ray West, which puts down a record of just half an hour. This digital release is opened by "The Horizon", skit, elegant piano, skeletal and syncopated drum machine, light in background, extravagant sounds in the midst of this jazzy production.
A light production follows in "Galactic Ruins", an elegant light piano, relaxing jazzy vibes, a quiet beat, a loop of bongos in background. The third cut is "Emeralds" and has a light, jazzy rhythm, a light and regular drum machine, a circular, tight beat. "Tribal Moon" boasts a heavy, skeletal and syncopated drum machine, only of light sax looped tight in background, tight beat, circular, simple.
The instrumental fifth choice presents a rhythm full of elements, light jazzy, with a lively piano, a tense, dark beat. "Empires Past" has a light, gloomy jazzy rhythm, minimal drum machine in background, dark rhythm. The seventh tune is a cooler rhythm, heavy and minimal drum machine in background, flute loop in background, dark jazzy beat.
"Against the Gods" presents a tight, simple, jazzy rhythm, a few piano keys looped in background and a lively and cheerful, essential jazzy production. "Appendix N" is a splendid jazzy beat, perhaps the best of the edition, a minimal bare drum machine in the background, a piano that permeates the entire song. "Planet Salvation" closes this instrumental tape, light jazzy rhythm with loops of light drums and sax in background, an unsuccessful attempt to ethereal production.
