Guy Gerber + Puff Daddy — 11 11

Israeli techno / house producer Guy Gerber and hip hop / pop rap / rnb producer Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy present "11 11". 80-minute collaborative house music record, 11 tracks: except the intro, the songs are all between five and ten minutes.

Sean Combs dusts off the moniker Puff Daddy, recalls the Dirty Money duo who had split up, and he tries again with this thing about making house music that had brought him some critical success four years ago: media approval was probably the only thing he still lacked and was looking for, because his best album, the debut, had not been completely blessed by critics and had been mostly ignored and mistreated, not properly appreciated. In this project, which arrives several years late and fails to collect the critical wake of "Last Train to Paris", some songs sound better than others, nevertheless, it's an unnecessary experience: it's an excessive, exhausting and incredibly boring album. Unnoticed by the public and critics, it's the only project by Diddy not to enter the charts. 4/10.
