Kinetic 9 x BoFaat — Roll Dolo

Collaborative tape between the rapper from Steubenville, Ohio, Kinetic 9, and the producer from Hannover, Germany, BoFaatThe album is an extended version of a previous EP released in 2017, which features a different cover that pays homage to kung-fu movies, boasting a bright and vibrant color.

In this one, however, there's a melancholy mood, there's a sad veil on the cover, the author's name is shown in gray and Kinetic, for the first time as a soloist, considers it necessary to put the Wu-Tang Clan logo in one of his covers, bottom left, covering it with his group name and an M16, I guess. I could be wrong. Now I look better. No, I was wrong: from the groove of the rifle butt, I'd say it's a CAR-15.

The disc features a bit of Killarmy and Taiyamo Denku, who previously collaborated with both authors. Kinetic 9 isn't the best emcee of the group, yet his discreet rapping style fits easily into this set of boom bap jazz rhythms, with pleasing results. Composed of 40 minutes of material divided into 12 tracks (there's the remix of "Master the Art" at the end), this is his best solo project to date.

Highlights: "Killarmy Flow", "Mics and Boom Baps", "Oooh Aaaah", "The Path", "Master the Art (Shootin at Stars Mix)".

Rating: 6.7/10.
