D Strong & Giallo Point — Suitcase Full of Gunz

Showcase for indie artists, it's not a good showcase in fact, it could be better.

The production of Giallo Point is monotonous and plays on the skinny and minimal drum machine in the background, embellished by a gray jazzy rhythm often accompanied by shrill strings: the rhythms have their strong moments in "Goner", "Danger" (nice dark jazzy beat with strings) and "Fly Jewelry", however there doesn't seem to be anyone able to perform worthily.

If the rough delivery of King RA creates a clashing contrast with the jazzy rhythm, on the other hand Dro Pesci dominates the opening beat like an established professional, with a dominant delivery and a smoothness and disarming flow. In all this, D Strong, the main rapper of this album, personally doesn't excite me: his flow is weak and his lazy delivery, typical of a generic rapper, seems to go effortlessly but never shines, often passed easily by guests (yes, even by Fuego Skillz who bites Snoop's style) and practically knock down a record that was already doped by generic and similar rhythms. 5/10.
