During the period between the release of the first album and the release of the second, Bushwick Bill lost an eye following a discussion with his girlfriend culminating with the girl who shoots him with a shotgun: and the boys start from here, on the cover Willie D and Scarface keep the Bushwick Bill stretcher in a hospital hall.
The group cannot be stopped, it changes labels and production, but it still destroys everything with its usual extremely violent, misogynist, sexual and horrorcore lyrics, with some socio-conscious and political traits in the midst of gangsta themes: most of these energetic and explicit tracks is focused on braggadocio.
The production, made by the group with the help of James Smith, John Bido, Johnny C, Big Rido, and Crazy C, is simpler than previous efforts, skinny and syncopated drum, and funky samples to give a hardcore, rough tone dirty and hard to sound. Their lyricism is good, but not excellent, and finds its peak in the classic "Mind Playing Tricks on Me": wonderful jazzy beat opened by a splendid elegant piano in the background, minimal and light skinned syncopated drum, the trio pulls out verses inspired on the theme of paranoia by making their own signature song with a lethal hardcore delivery on a perfect sample of Isaac Hayes, masterpiece cut.
Highlights: "We Can't Be Stopped", "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" (one of the best hip-hop song of the decade), "Gotta Let Your Nuts Hang", "F a War", "Ain't With Being Broke".
Rating: 8.2/10.
