Achozen — Achozen

This is more or less what the eponymous debut album of the group Achozen was supposed to be, there's the mastermind of RZA behind this project.

Rap metal, I don't know if the definition fits for this album, I don't want to listen to it again, not for a third time. It's experimental, yes. Not in a manner of speaking, I mean, the first track accredits among the instruments chosen by Shavo Obadjian, the duduk, a traditional musical instrument of Armenia, of which Obadjian is a native, which is played by Djivan Gasparyan, reputed to be the master of that instrument. The music is produced almost entirely by Obadjian, who also plays sitar on a couple of tracks, RZA produces something. John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) plays guitar on "Secure". Guests are Wu-Tang affiliate Leggezin Fin, George Clinton and Sick Jacken (Psycho Realm). Achozen members Kinetic 9 and Reverend William Burke are featured on three tracks each. The music is bad, never accessible, it's just not good music. The lyrics are almost worse. I'll leave Burke and the guests alone. Kinetic maybe the worst writer on Killarmy, makes me want to re-evaluate Islord. And Islord is not a rapper, in theory. RZA makes me positively re-evaluate the worst Cappadonna. Avoid this thing.
