Flee Lord & Havoc — In the Name of Prodigy

Flee Lord completes his journey by releasing album number twelve in twelve months of 2020. Entirely produced by Havoc, it features Flipmode Squad, Griselda, Wu-Tang Clan, Trust and Mobb Deep. The Far Rockaway rapper maintains his street lyricism, thug, drug, gangsta and braggadocio bars.

After a nice jazzy rhythm with dark samples and midtempo drum, Flee Lord delivers his first lines with a slow, calm, weighted, flowing style. On a glossy jazzy boom bap made by Havoc with great samples and a light drum, Ransom closes the cut with a slow and smooth delivery, dope. Big Twins is the guest of "Infamous Bop", Queens track: dusty boom bap, hard and dry thumping drum machine, piano sample combined with a beaten cymbal in the background, agile delivery of Flee Lord that follows the rough, dirty and raw style of the rapper affiliated with Mobb Deep. "Major Distribution" boasts a jazzy soundscape with perfect midtempo dry drum and a fantastic female soul sample. Flee Lord delivers with a smooth, quick and dope style, simple hook, closes Busta Rhymes with his crazy, quick, rough and hardcore flow. After this gem, Conway the Machine takes the field in the fifth song: samples of horns to corroborate jazzy rhythm, NY MC's slow velvet hardcore delivery, Conway kills the cut with Roberta Flack style, softly, with a slow, calm delivery.

On track number six comes the rapper's only solo track: splendid rhythm, jazzy boom bap with light, slow and lean drum, splendid soulful female sample, delivery weighted calm slow flowing, almost spoken. Raekwon lights up "Wu-Lords", over Havoc's jazzy tense rhythm, with light tight drum and tight sample, Flee Lord slow delivery, the Wu-Tang MC chooses a crisp, smooth flowing slow style. The next cut features Santana Fox, a girl who pulls out her bars with an almost whispered spoken delivery, very slow flow, on a tight sample jazzy production apparently devoid of drum machines; Flee Lord eats the track with a slow smooth syncopated flow. Havoc creates a jazzy midtempo soundscape for the ninth choice, with an excellent drum and excellent dark and gloomy jazzy samples: good delivery of Billy V and Eto, smooth and slow, closes Lord Lord with a style similar to that of Eto. The final song features Havoc himself to rapping, in "Bound to Take Losses": jazzy boom bap, minimal drum, fantastic lo-fi beat, Flee Lord is more inspired here than previous songs, Havoc delivers hardcore, rapid and smoothness.

Almost half an hour album, ten tracks. Sublime production of Havoc, good rapping of Flee Lord, he ends the album twelve in a single year with more coolness and calm than usual, and it's a remarkable record, made essential by the cast of guests present.

Highlights: "Major Distribution", "All for the Goat", "Wu-Lords", "Mac in the Empire", "Bound to Take Losses".
