I didn't think anyone had the bravery to diss AZ, one of the most influential rappers of the decade, yet that's the second thing E-40 does on the CD, shortly after he dissed Rasheed Wallace. Either way, a good song comes out on an honest beat. Overall, the album sounds like a fun and materialistic 70-minute gangsta party with some excellent performers, friends and family of Fonzarelli, on a catchy and average mobb production.
The first twenty minutes seem to be able to keep up with his first album, his best album released only last season, "In a Major Way", then it drops without going up further, with a dozen quite generic tracks, more because of the chosen set and some guests between rappers and singers who hold down the product than the always fresh rapping of the main interpreter.
Released by Jive, the record is well received by critics and is one of the E-40's best-ever sales results, finishing fourth on the Billboard 200, second on the rap chart and certified gold in two months. It's a little bit far from his top work and is an interesting listen to West Coast fans, 7.3/10.
