After the success of the first volume, Fat Joe decides to complete a Darkside trilogy. However, along the way, he turns his second installment into a very low-budget mixtape. Entirely produced by Mark Henry, the tape presents French Montana, Dre, Jadakiss, Arland and Shallah Raewkon as guests.
Almost all is reduced to songs composed by two verses, which's the ideal size of Fat Joe. The ideal dimension for the Terror Squad leader remain the mixtape, like the previous one, this effort is coke/gangsta rap. It's a obscure tape, hardcore NY, there are French Montana, Jadakiss (he saves his track "Dopeman") & Raekwon as guests, among verses delivered in a way syncopated, hardcore or without energy over gloomy or heavy beats realized by the Washington D.C. producer Mark Henry, among Arland choruses, quotes to "C.R.E.A.M." and to "New Jack City" and soul samples in loop. Roj & Twinkie, Hype and LG get one track each behind the keyboards. "Around the World" is the finest tune here, possibly, maybe due to his lounge vibes, maybe because is the latest one, I don't know. Not recommended, this work is heavy and average, 5/10.
