Tha God Fahim & M. Stacks — Live and Let Dump

I begin to not understand the reason behind these tributes in the covers of Fahim. After Shakur, it's now Kool G Rap's latest work with DJ Polo, whose faces are replaced by those of Tha God Fahim and M. Stacks, rappers from Atlanta, Georgia. The cover then changed in 2021 towards a more sober design, but still not good. Fahim is assigned to rapping, Stacks produces the entire tapes, 12 short tracks, 28 minutes: this guy mumbles things for half an hour over mediocre lo-fi rhythms.

It's one of the less inspired tapes made in these five years by Tha God Fahim, the production is faint, minimal beats that lack the strength to make a coherent statement, despite having some time available, the songs in fact often arrive over two minutes. Almost all the music is based on the drum machine, which however doesn't support anything, it's bad, poor, cheap and sax loops don't carry the tape even in drumless tracks, even though "Classics" is one of the few decent tracks. The intro with that rhythm that pays homage to Nino Rota's theme in "The Godfather" is poor and disappointing. Bad tape, rare big slip in Fahim's immense discography. 4/10.
