Third LP of the year for Currensy, at the fifth effort of the season. In production, this time is Eduardo Earle aka Fuse (808 Mafia). Half an hour, ten joints, a few guests, Fuse's rhythms are a little colder and coarser than Currensy's previous work.
The tape also starts too well, with "Coast 2 Coast", a pounding drum machine on which the rapper isn't mistaken with his relaxed and flowing delivery, then Fendi P doesn't materialize a discreet jazzy trap production. "Endless Summer" has an accessible trap rhythm and anticipates "Everything": great samples, simple jazzy beat with simple drum and trap vibes, good delivery of Currensy & Gunplay, after letting the rhythm breathe. The following tracks dance on the edge of sufficiency, Wiz isn't exactly good on the effortless trap song "Road to Riches". The tape culminates with an annoying trap beat due to a too tightly looped sample, then closes a decent jazzy trap song.
There are some good choices ("Coast 2 Coast", "Everything"), but this record is sufficient, not essential, not recommended. 6/10.
