Inspectah Deck — Manifesto Redux [remixes]

Redux: Captain Willard arrives at that village controlled by Colonel Kurtz, Lance and Chef are still alive, but it's like, as soon as they got off the boat to land in the village, the photographer immediately took them to be hanged.

Deck's career stops there. Stop. Terminus. End of the line. Get off, please. Exactly nine months after the release of his disappointing "Manifesto", the rapper releases the same record as before, remixed with dubstep production: it's a kind of rap album with dubstep rhythms, two completely different genres that don't work in this Rebel INS effort. The attempt may be appreciated, but the record sucks enough, it's just garbage. When dubstep is subdued or avoided, the best results emerge ("Hate in Your Blood", ft Fes Taylor; "True", "Greatest Story (Remix)" ft Matt Beilis, weak cut featuring an attempt to rap rock choice instead of dubstep), all the other tracks are bad, with the peaks of "Do What You Gotta" and "Ghetto Love", both being practically unlistenable. On the other hand, "Love Letter" ft Fes Taylor is the only successful remix of the lot, out of twelve.

This tape is a complete, useless and annoying waste of time. Everything is done very badly and it's a pain for the ears. Jason Hunter knows that the Inspectah Deck moniker is now finished, to be thrown away: fortunately, with the same move Stringer Bell made to change the name and container of his now notoriously bad product, Hunter introduces Czarface into the game and he manages to move on. Another name, another color for the vial, but the same content and aimed at the same customers. When they get tired, they will return to Inspectah Deck: it will take nine years to return to release another studio album under this name. 3/10.
