Sequel to his first project released two years before. The guests are Benny, 38 Spesh and Rick Hyde. The music is provided by Green Lantern, Chris Ruben, DirtyDiggs, Camoflauge Monk, Boodeini and JR Swiftz.
The first cut is an excellent oriental jazzy rhythm realized by DJ Green Lantern, delivered with a smooth and clean flow. It Follows "Cocaine Dreams", midtempo, dark, simple jazzy beat by Chris Ruben, good delivery of Elcamino, raw and functional bars. Benny wipes out everything in the next track, a jazzy midtempo production invented by DirtyDiggs with tight looped soul samples. "Psycho" presents a beat similar to the previous ones, created by Camoflauge Monk, and a good fast delivery of Elcamino, then 38 Spesh is welcomed: he destroys the dark jazzy joint with a fresh and raw flow. "Eat" sees a sublime flow of Rick Hyde over a dark and mesmerizing jazzy rhythm by JR Swiftz before the end of this short tape with a deep and rhythmic similar beat, the second provided by Camoflauge Monk, on which Elcamino offers a good smooth and gloomy delivery.
This is the latest Elcamino project for the year 2019, the sixth between EP and album studio released in less than nine months. All fairly coherent and solid, this sequel to its 2017 debut features a clear, tight and dark jazzy minimal production and the typical calm and convinced rapping. It doesn't seem destined to illuminate the young rapper's discography; however, it contributes to lengthening a springboard that projects Buffalo's MC towards a triumphal entry in the following year.
Highlights: "Shrimp at Phillipes", "Stove Tops".
