AAVV — Rhyme Syndicate Comin' Through

Interesting West Coast compilation from Rhyme $yndicate Records distributed by Warner Bros. Inside Ice-T, Low Profile, The Spin Masters, Everlast, Domination, TDF, Bango, Mixmaster Quick, Toddy Tee, Nat the Cat, Bronx Style Bob and Donald D. Afrika Islam & Ice-T are the main producers, along with Bilal Bashir, TDF, Bango, Daddy-O, Toddy Tee, Donald D, Nat the Cat and Bronx Style Bob.

Funky rhythms, with hard and skeletal drum machine and quite agile and flowing deliveries. Among the best tunes (the rare ones you can find): Ice-T starts immediately with "rap Cosa Nostra", mafia cut that opens this self-titled album, "Rhyme Syndicate Comin' Through". Simple, essential rhythm, lively drum machine in the background, excellent delivery of Ice-T that dominates the beat. So, "Think You Can Hang?" from Low Profile: simple, essential rhythm, vibrant and minimal drum machine in the background, smooth delivery on light West Coast vibes, this track shows you that WC was really fit and ready to mark his name on the West Coast scene shortly thereafter

It follows a minimal, fresh, essential, lively rhythm, on which the Spinmasters drop decent and syncopated bars. Fourth song to Everlast, which unleashes on a fresh and tight rhythm, with a heavy and minimal drum machine in the background, good and smooth delivery, good cut. The unknown Domination drops drop verses on a minimal and scratched rhythm, tight and simple. Toddy Tee gives us a decent delivery on a quite generic minimal and funky rhythm with nothing to write down. Nat the Cat and Donald D close this compilation with not memorable tunes. Not recommended.
