The CD was born with the intention of launching the flagship Team Napalm, a new group created by Dom PaChino ready to carve out its place in the game.
It's a compilation of dozen tracks created by the Killarmy rapper, Team Napalm and other artists who gravitate towards the W such as JoJo Pellegrino, Buddha Monk, Double A.B. and Shyheim. Guests include Haxaw, Trom, Layza Life of Brooklyn Zu Fam, Lee-Major of Da Manchuz, Squigg That, P.C. of Icewater and TMF. Behind the keyboards there are DunnEzzy, Chapel and Dub Sonata of Team Napalm, Buddha Monk of Brooklyn Zu and Falling Down, among others.
The record gets off to a good start right away and is poised to stay high in the Stapleton emcee's discography. Title track boasts a great boom bap beat from DunnEzzy, Dom Pachino delivers brag with a smooth flow over a calm jazz production and even Chapel (of Team Napalm) appears to be a legitimate Wu-affiliate. The Killarmy star pays homage to everyone in the outro, except 9th Prince and it's no coincidence, shortly after the breakup of the group. "My Life" is a solo by JoJo Pellegrino over an exquisite production by Calogero (both in the group of Staten Island Mafioso Chapter, which didn't broke through in the mid-nineties, when the influence of Scorsese, Coppola, De Palma, and I would add also Ferrara, made itself felt in the New York hip-hop scene, creating a flood from which thousands of rap groups have failed to emerge). The drum is robust, there's a sparkling bass, the loop is fascinating, Pellegrino delivers some thug rap with energy for three minutes.
"Gangsta Musik" is a battle rap by Chapel formed with Haxaw (aka Hacksaw; later guest on records by another Wu affiliate Dr. Ama) and Trom, in which the boys swap thug bars over an ok beat. Dom Pachino returns to perform with Chapel after about ten minutes on a brilliant soul sample in a song for girls. Track number six is a solo choice by the Untouchable Soldiers, a group linked to the producer Falling Down who makes a good track. "Live My Life" is a self-produced solo street cut by Brooklyn Zu rapper Buddha Monk, in which the veteran delivers one of the highlights of the record. Team Napalm make their way into the next track, in which Dom Pachino, Chapel and NLZ make a battle rap, before Double A.B.'s solo track which quietly raps on a relaxed beat among the most inspired of the edition.
"Let's Go Back" is a battle with Buddha Monk and Da Manchuz members Lee-Major and Layza Life. This is followed by an autobiographical excerpt from the younger Wu-Tang Killa Bee Shyheim ("No Mercy") over a noteworthy production. "Gunz N Butter" is a Shaolin cut by C-Tera (aka Dom Pachino) featuring TMF (Kryme Life, Tommy Whispers & Trife Diesel), P.C. of Ice Water and Squigg That (guest on several Shyheim projects). The last track is another battle rap performed by Team Napalm, represented by Dom PaChino, Chapel and Crunch Lo, brother of Cappadonna who performs well here on an honest production.
Released through Chambermusik and his own Napalm label, this effort ranks among the best records under the Dom PaChino name.
