Cage — Death Miracles

It's really bad not to feel like doing anything at the age of fifty. Sixth solo album for Cage, if you also count the one under the name of Sam Hill.

Perhaps his worst so far. I didn't check the others. But it looks like his worst ever released. It goes beyond the mediocrity and laziness you would expect from your generic trapper / mumble rapper. The man almost seems to have been forced by someone to publish this material, he didn't really want and in these forty minutes it feels: slow delivery, lazy, perhaps tired on dully and generic rhythms, it's not clear who made these dark, decent beats but generic (Cage himself?), every now and then he places a pop hook, touches the glam rock in the second track and tries something experimental that could be boldly defined horrorpop. However, he has no audience, he self-produces the tape because he has no label, luckily these eleven tracks have been largely ignored by the public and critics.

Highlights: the spotify commercial that interrupted my listening.

Rating: 3/10.
