Second EP published by the duo AG & John Robinson in the year, after the spring "They Watching", it's the turn of the autumnal "Penelope". Mixed by Dave Dar, is entirely produced by Ray West.
Like the previous one, also this extended play is made up of eight tracks and is opened by the title track, which is also one of the best tracks — above all thanks to the guests, Blu & Dave Dar: Ray West creates a sick smooth jazzy beat for the title track that will be difficult to equalize during the record.
In order not to make the same mistakes as the previous EP, the times in rapping is reduced and to plug the holes have been replaced by instrumental tracks (mixed by Ray West) at regular intervals. So, the follow cut is pretty good, because it gives up the delivery of the emcees and lets itself go into a well-designed instrumental with a nice soulful jazzy boom bap. The guys return to the next song, but in order not to make the same mistakes as the previous EP, three different guests help them on a jazzy soulful boom bap.
Another instrumental — common light jazzy rhythm — then comes "Low Kut", beautiful cut, possibly the best below an excellent soulful jazzy production. Last instrumental (jazzy soulful rhythmic) so it's easy to get to the last two tracks inserted by the duo: "Neva Ends" has perhaps the only wrong beat realized by the producer in both EP (simply failed, and the hook doesn't work, it's weak and sounds bad, annoying), the last choice partly remedies even if AG turns out to be not very incisive, despite the slight jazzy boom bap demand revenge.
EP accessible like the previous one, nothing to say, even this record would be recommended to rap jazz fans, despite AG doesn't sound inspired even here. 5/10.
