will.i.am — Must B 21

Courtesy of William James Adams Jr. aka will.i.am, one of the worst albums of the year is released. Production by will.i.am, Printz Board, John Legend, George Pajon Jr. and Dylan "3D" Dresdow. The guests are MC Lyte, KRS-One, Phife, MC Supernatural, Flii, Planet Asia, Kron Don, John Stephens, Triple Seven, Dante Santiago, Fergie, Niu, Taboo, Phil the Agony and Tash.

The Black Eyed Peas singer is overshadowed by practically every single guest he brings to his album and, in the few tracks he emerges from, he appears to be a guest on his own CD. The music is dreary for 50 minutes, collapses right after six, it's up to the guests to keep their tracks afloat and sadly, some of the best are already gone by this point: KRS does his job on "Take it" and Phife makes "Nahh Mean" noteworthy. The others are basically turning the spoon around a warm, spat punch that no one will ever drink and will rot on the table. "Mash Out" is the exception to the rule, MC Lyte and Fergie take the song by strength and talent. 2.5/10.
