Immediately after "Everybody Is F.O.O.D. 3", Conway comes out with a second EP in April 2019: I'm not sure what the real function of Trillmatic is here, in any case the rapper from Buffalo uses a production that doesn't include the historic producer of Griselda Daringer, replaced by sounds chosen by Apollo Brown, Mephux, Farma, and Kyo Itachi. The Machine drops his classic braggadocio / gangsta lyrics, unfortunately the hooks aren't Conway's bread, otherwise this twenty-minute EP would be among his best works.
Apollo Brown opens with a nice rhythm, simple jazzy, and a slow and smooth delivery of Conway. "PTSD" follows, a good jazzy midtempo rhythm created by Mephux, crazy piano looped in the background, also here Con fit with the beat. Farma produces the following track and provides a splendid dark jazzy rhythm, with dark jazzy piano in the background, among the best productions of the tape, excellent MC delivery.
"Ahmed Johnson" presents a brilliant boom bap jazzy, midtempo, simple, spectacular provided by Kyo Itachi, excellent careful and thoughtful delivery by Conway. "Come Get With Me" is Farma's second production: good simple dark jazzy rhythm combined with a smooth delivery of the rapper from Buffalo. Follows a great beat jazzy dropped by Mephux, downtempo, vinyl sound in background (almost imperceptible, but there is), only verse excellently delivered in a fluent way by La Maquina, who brings out an incredible gem, classic. Farma closes in "The Get Back": rhythmic jazzy boom bap, skeletal drum machine, beautiful strings in the background and a looped soulful female sample, good delivery by Conway, one verse.
Recommended to fans.
Highlights: "Bag on the Body", "Ahmed Johnson", "Draco".
Rating: 7.5/10.
